IQS – Ramon Llull University and Jesuits Catalonia, in collaboration with Cristianismo y Justicia, ESADE, UNIJES, and the Kircher Network, are inviting applications for the Visiting Theologians Program (VTP). The programme offers a three- to six-month research stay in Barcelona between January and May 2027, with a gross monthly stipend of € 1,100 and accommodation at the Jesuit Residence of the Sagrat Cor.
Candidates should have a background in both theology and philosophy, with a strong research and publication record. During their stay, the selected candidate will develop their own research project, present it at the Barcelona Theological Seminary of Christianity and Justice, give a lecture at IQS, and remain available for further lectures and seminars within the Faith Service of the Society of Jesus in Catalonia.
Research topics of particular interest include science, technology and sustainability; faith and justice; and spirituality in a secular world, among other lines connected to the Jesuit theological tradition in Catalonia.
Applications, including a cover letter, project outline, and CV, are accepted until 30 September 2026, for a stay taking place between January and May 2027.
